[Alfred barely feels the bite of Oswald's nails into his skin as he is more focused on holding and soothing the smaller man, rocking him gently as he cries and wails. He understands his pain and knows that the only way past it is through it. It's a storm that one has to weather, but that doesn't mean Oswald has to be alone when he does and eventually when Oswald finally turns away and practically falls into Alfred's bed he takes a moment to think.
